Tory-free is not free!

In urging us to make Scotland Tory-free all Humza Yousaf is doing is electioneering. It’s all about votes for the SNP. It is NOT about liberation for Scotland! Making Scotland Tory-free offers no advantage to Scotland. All it means is swapping one British establishment party for another. What good does that do us?

The British state is a Tory state. It may be possible to vote the Tories out of office. It is never possible to vote the Tories out of power.

Ask the awkward questions! Why is Yousaf talking about making the 2024 Westminster election an anti-Tory campaign? Why is he not proposing to make the election serve Scotland’s cause? Why is he not talking about an anti-Union campaign?

Could it be because the SNP leadership has no proposals for ending the Union? Might it be because the SNP has no plan to restore Scotland’s independence? Does Humza Yousaf have any intention of being the First Minister who leads Scotland’s return to being a normal independent nation? Does Humza Yousaf have any idea how to end the Union and restore Scotland’s independence?

Despicable as they may be, the Tories are not Scotland’s problem. Scotland’s problem is that we have no choice. England decides which of the British establishment parties will form the UK government. The way we vote in Scotland makes absolutely no difference. We are forced to accept whatever voters in England choose. If voters in England choose fascists, we get fascists. If voters in England opt for corrupt, venal, incompetent politicians, we suffer the consequences.

Scotland’s problem is the grotesquely asymmetric political union imposed on us in 1707. Scotland’s curse is the Union. Ridding Scotland of British Tories does not lift that curse. Only by ending the Union will Scotland’s voters be free to choose the form of government which we calculate best serves our nation’s needs, priorities and aspirations.

So, why does First Minister Humza Yousaf have nothing to say about freeing Scotland from the jealous grasp of avaricious Britannia? When will he present us with a credible process by which he intends to remove Scotland from under the heel of this oppressive Union?

When will any of Scotland’s politicians find the courage to say that playing the British two-party political game leaves Scotland at the mercy of the British ruling elites? Where will we find a politician with the honesty and integrity to acknowledge that playing by the British state’s rules ensures Scotland only ever gets what contemptuous British politicians deem us worthy of?

The Union makes Scotland less that it might be. The Union makes Scotland’s people less that we have a right to be. The Union is a great injustice done to Scotland 317 years ago and every day since! Where are the leaders who will help us right this wrong? Where are the leaders who will restore justice?

  1. I have Emailed this common sense and factual post to S.Flynn and M. Black in the faintest of hope that either of them will read it and hopefully ( clutching with a death grip on my pearls ) act on it ..or explain in some way to me as to why they do not.

But the most I can expect is one of those automated responses as this is a more likely waste of time.

    1. I get that, your opinion is important to us.

however as your not a constituent of mine you have to contact your own MP or MSP.

what chance the last MP jumped the dyke to the English Tories, who hold with genocide, and war crimes of their own making.

she supports the bedroom tax, and the two child limit, plus, all the English state attempts at stealing Scottish resources.

      1. My MP is Alister ‘ Union ‘ Jack…

The westminster rules dictate that Mp’s can only consider items from their particular constituents… ” how wonderful! ” … as Mr Jack will not give a s+++ about me or my democratic right to contact him. His priorities are well known. He is one of the land owning aristocracy that D & G has in abundance. I doubt my complaint about not affording the cost of the meat that is produced in these tax subsidised non arable fields that make up D & G would disturb him.ā€‚Or that the last time I had Lamb was from New Zealand and courtesy of a German supermarket which still made a profit from it.

This is my point… that whilst the SNP group attends westmister giving it credibility… my living standards deteriorate. Yet I feel betrayed and impotent as those politicians who were elected under the banner of seeking an Indy Scotland are making no progress towards this much needed Indy. WHY?… What are they waiting on?… Are they blind?… do they not see the assets removal… Or when they shop in Harrods food hall do they never comment on the grass fed beef from Galloway that their fellow Scots would perhaps lose this illustrious market should there be a backlash against the ‘Rebellious Scots”

  2. In the present issue of Private Eye there is an item about Keith Brown being slapped down for suggesting that it was time for the SNP politicos at westminster to WALK… only in turn to be slapped down by Humanza within a couple of hours for making such a silly remark … Humanza’s argument was it is better to keep them there as it is already a ‘ completely dysfunctional system ‘ and so they should continue attendance.

I had not realised that Humanza who gave an impassioned speech clutching his pearls at the Edinburgh Indy march last year… was behind this continual attendance which serves no purpose other than to keep his position as First minister as I would think that had the spineless Indy warriors at westminster to return North … that Humanza’s own position would be at risk given the more robust attitude to Indy that our First Minister has so far displayed.
